TRANSIA PROJECT (IDI-20230251)
TRANSPORTES ESCAPA is currently fully engaged in implementing its TRANSIA improvement project.
Data makes it possible to plan routes, optimise loads, increase productivity, and so on. Until now, we have carried out the analysis of this data internally in a traditional way, drawing on experience; however, we do not apply ACTIVE, PRE-ANALYTICAL intelligence to the data. That is why we want a solution that is fully adaptable to our business reality and to the way we operate, and that is able to:
- Analyse our historical data.
- Take external factors into account through web crawlers that can, for example, "gather" data on weather forecasts, among others.
- "Read" our stock.
- "Understand" orders and the weight of each client in our turnover, and prioritise accordingly.
- Optimise warehouse logistics.
- Optimise and prioritise loading logistics.
- "Recommend" routes to us and plan in order to optimise them.
For all these reasons, we want to develop TRANSIA, an intelligent tool that will be able to analyse this data and propose a new, comprehensive response to all these challenges (reading stock levels, understanding orders and the weight of each client in turnover, optimising logistics…), enabling the sequencing of vehicle arrivals at a warehouse, with the assignment of time windows and docks.
TRANSIA must be able to indicate the loading order of each vehicle so as to maximise the space used inside it, optimise logistics in general and, at the same time, read data on traffic and weather forecasts in order to plan them.
The innovative proposal of this project involves incorporating new analytical models and artificial-intelligence algorithms based on operations research.
